Are you familiar with the word Chakra? In yoga classes you have probably heard the teacher talk about them. But, what exactly is a Chakra and what does it mean to have a blocked Chakra?
Chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel, disc or any circular form or arrangement. There are 7 major chakras within the subtle body that are described as circular vortexes of energy near the spinal cord. Each chakra corresponds with specific glands and organs, making each one responsible for a variety of bodily functions and emotions!
Each chakra has a different name, location, sound, color representation, and so much more! And guess what? Here is the best part! There are essential oils we can apply or inhale to keep each one of these chakras open, balanced, and singing a happy song! Who doesn’t want a happy, balanced chakra system?
